Undress AI

Undress AI is the second-most-visited website in this entire ranking, behind only Ourdream AI, and the one I am least willing to send you to. Ahrefs estimates roughly 877,000 organic search visits in August 2026, up 304% in a year, more than Candy AI, JOI and every other companion app I rate above 9. It gets there by ranking first in the United States for “undress ai”, “ai undresser”, “undress ai free” and “deepfake nude”, which tells you what people arrive wanting to do. The product exists to take a photograph of a clothed person and produce a fake nude of that person. Everything else on the site is decoration around that transaction.

Let me be plain before anything else. Using this tool on a photo of a real person who has not consented is not a grey area. In the United States the TAKE IT DOWN Act, signed in May 2025, makes knowingly publishing AI-generated intimate images of an identifiable person a federal crime. In the United Kingdom, creating sexually explicit deepfakes of adults without consent is an offence and the government has announced an outright ban on nudification tools in the Crime and Policing Bill. Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and other EU states have their own offences and their own prosecutions. Beyond the law, it is a way of sexually violating someone who never agreed to be part of your evening. This review contains no instructions for doing that. It evaluates the site only as a generator of fictional or fully consensual imagery and as a business you would be handing money to.

For this rewrite I pulled the Ahrefs profile and top keywords, fetched the homepage, Terms, privacy, refunds and use policies, the TAKE IT DOWN procedure, three blog posts, a brand-jacking page and the APK page, read the interface strings embedded in the page source, looked up the named UK payment agent at Companies House, and read Ofcom’s decision against that company plus the Bellingcat and NZZ investigations. I also went through 36 Reddit posts and about 315 comments that mention the brand. I did not generate an image of any person and I am not going to.

TL;DR verdict

Undress AI is a photo-to-nude generator wrapped in a keyword farm, run by a Belize company that names a dissolved UK company as its payment agent, that was fined by the UK regulator under its previous name, that contradicts itself on storage, monitoring, subscriptions and refunds inside its own legal pages, and that runs a casino tab where you can gamble the credits you bought. The generator itself is, by every third-party account, fast and photorealistic on simple front-facing photos. That is not a compliment here. The 4.7 is generous and I would score it lower.

If you want fictional adult imagery, there are generators that ban uploads entirely and publish their prices. If you want an AI companion, this is not one. If you still want to see the product, the link is here; go in with a burner email, a prepaid card and no photograph of anyone you know.

The numbers nobody else will show you

Ahrefs, pulled 15 September 2026, mode subdomains, monthly volumes:

Two things stand out. First, the curve: 324,000 visits in May 2026, then roughly 947,000 in June, a tripling that held through July and eased to 877,000 in August. The site was already riding a January 2026 post that positioned it as the answer when Grok refuses to undress a photo. Google now sends it more people than any companion in my ranking except Ourdream. Second, the keyword mix below. The 5.7 million backlinks from only 3,226 domains is the profile of feeder domains, not editorial coverage. Ofcom estimated 50,000 to 150,000 unique UK visitors a month before the geo-block. WIRED’s Indicator study of 85 nudify sites put the sector at 18.5 million visitors a month and up to $36 million a year. This is one of the largest nodes in that economy.

The blog post that ranks first for “deepfake nude” is the one that says “Create nuds of celebrities, Youtubers and politicians with Undress AI.” I will come back to it.

Who this is for

Honestly: the market this site serves is people who want to see a specific real person naked without that person’s knowledge, and I am not going to describe how it serves them. The remaining defensible audience is someone generating explicit imagery of themselves, or of a partner who has consented in full knowledge of where the photo goes. Even that person is uploading intimate source material to an operator that cannot be identified and that will hold the file for up to a day. A generator with no upload feature does the fictional job with none of those risks.

Who should skip this

Everyone who has ever thought “just to see what it does” about a photo of a colleague, an ex, a classmate, a creator or a celebrity. That is the crime, and the site will happily take your money for it. Anyone in the UK, where the site is geo-blocked and the tool category is being outlawed. Anyone who wants a companion, a chat, a voice or a memory: none exist here. Anyone who needs to know who they are paying: the Payment Agent named in the Terms was struck off seven months ago. Anyone who gambles: there is a Mines game in the sidebar, and I mean that literally.

What Reddit actually says

I went through Reddit’s live results for “undress.app” and “undress ai”: 138 posts, 36 flagged as brand matches, and the comment trees on 12 threads, about 315 comments, from 2018 through August 2026. “Undress” is an ordinary verb, so a lot of that pile is not this website. I threw out a January 2026 r/grok thread about xAI’s Imagine tool, an April 2026 r/AIJailbreak affiliate post for a Telegram bot, and an August 2026 r/TwoXChromosomes thread about taking down a different unnamed site. After that filter, three kinds of posts remain: a handful of people who had clearly used undress.app or its sister undress.cc, a much larger set of relationship and legal threads about “undress AI” as a category, and an industrial layer of recommendation-farm spam. Paying users I can name: two. Victim threads: several, and those are the ones with thousands of upvotes.

The two paying users are not reviews. r/u_Davidduckie, March 2024, titled “Free undresses on undress.app”: “Got the basic plan so I can make undresses in hd and I got a ton left. Dm me if you are interested (completely free)!” That is a Basic-plan buyer sitting on leftover HD credits and trying to give them away, which matches the 15-credit tier being five to seven images if you actually generate. r/offmychest, June 2024, “Shame and regret because of using ai for inmoral purposes”: the original poster wrote “i especifically used the undress.cc that is the same company as undress.app” and described testing it, then making “a mistake.” Ofcom later confirmed those two domains are the same operator. The only other undress.app-specific human thread I already had is still the best product complaint: November 2024, r/NoStupidQuestions, “I signed up for a account for Undress.App and I can’t delete my account as there is no option to delete the account on the website.” Support eventually deleted it. Four months later someone replied they had uploaded without an account and could not check whether the file was still there. The site now has a Delete Account dialog. That fixes the wrong problem.

Two more product-adjacent posts, neither of them a spend log. r/facebook, November 2024: “Recently facebook started forcing me Undress AI and ads featuring nudity.” A December reply: “UndrssAI is advertised as app to undress your crush… which is against the law in EU and US as well, but FB sees nothing wrong.” r/Anxietyhelp and r/Anxiety, October 2024, same text on both: “Me and my friends were messing around on a undress ai website even though it says photos are deleted I am scared dead that they save them and a hacker will get them from the website and sell them or share them on the dark web.” That is the privacy policy’s “cleared from 1 hour to a maximum of 1 day” clause experienced from the other side. Across 315 comments I did not find a statement descriptor, a refund outcome, a chargeback, or anyone who used it on themselves and was happy about it.

Then the farms. r/JrTrip, 15 July 2026, “Best Undress AI Recommended by Everyone?”: 2,346 comments under a post that names “Undress app” for “realistic results, fast processing, and solid customization.” The replies that are not outbound LeakHub and “Companion 1” affiliate links are one-liners: “Wow”, “Good”, “i hope this is best.” That is a comment farm, not a community. r/u_Least_Answer_3682, September 2025, “BEST UNDRESS AI 2025”: 140 comments, most of them ”[ Removed by Reddit ]” or Telegram-bot referral URLs. r/u_huspacap, February 2026, “Top 7 Undress AI Apps You Should Try Today,” opens with “Whether it’s a photo of someone you know, an Instagram crush, or just an experiment.” The 2024 r/AItoolsCatalog listicle still has the one useful sentence in that genre: “Undress.app, Undress.cc, Undress.love and Nudify.online all look like they are from the same owners… more expensive.” Everything else in that register is an ad.

Sentiment among genuine commenters is not mixed. When the tool is used on a real person, Reddit’s reaction is unanimous and ugly, which is the next section. When someone is trying to sell you one, the comments are bots.

What the relationship threads look like

I am not going to describe how to operate this software. I am going to describe what happens in the threads where someone already did, because that is the use Reddit actually documents.

r/AmIOverreacting, 28 April 2025, 24,599 upvotes, 4,182 comments. Original poster found “undress AI filters” used on photos of “my mother, my sister and my cousins,” done “in secret in the middle of the night,” with the excuse that “it’s not sexual” and “he’s experimenting with AI.” Top reply, 12,042 upvotes: “Come on, this is heinous.” Another: “Isn’t this shit illegal now?” I cannot prove the software on that computer was undress.app rather than a clone. I can prove that this is what “undress AI” means to the people who find it on a partner’s machine.

r/LegalAdviceUK, 26 May 2024. A 23-year-old: her brother’s 18-year-old friends screenshot her Instagram “and sometimes even put them through an undress AI and send them to him.” Top legal reply: “Call the Police on 101. A recent change to the law made creating AI nudes illegal.” A correction under that, accurate on that date: “For the moment, making fake nudes is lawful. However, sharing nudes, even if fake, is an offence under the Online Safety Act 2023.” England and Wales later criminalised creating, or even requesting, a purported intimate image of an adult without consent, in force 6 February 2026. The correction is now the outdated half.

r/TwoHotTakes, 4 July 2025: Discord channels where a boyfriend’s group “use a ‘undress AI’ app to make famous singers/dancers naked, and then goon on them.” r/AskPinay, 26 April 2026: a partner’s secret folder included a picture that “used an undress AI app to undress this girl, who I found on Instagram.” She told the woman. The woman had already spoken to a lawyer. A commenter: “That’s freaking scary.” Every one of these threads is the same plot: someone used a clothes-removal tool on a real woman who did not know, someone else found the files, and the comments say leave, report, help the victim. Nobody in them is asking which plan has the best skin texture.

Using this on a real person without consent is illegal in the United States under the TAKE IT DOWN Act 2025, illegal to create in England and Wales since February 2026, and morally indefensible everywhere else. Reddit’s relationship threads are not a grey-area debate. They are the crime, reported from the other side of the upload button.

The company that does not exist

The Terms of Service, updated 11 January 2026, say the site “is owned and operated by UNDR GROUP LIMITED, a company registered in Belize with registration number 000053473”, at New Horizon Building, Ground Floor, 3 and a half Miles Philip S.W. Goldson Highway, Belize City. The footer of every page adds a second line: “Payment Agent: UNDR GROUP LIMITED (15076132, 81 Anthony Drive, Norwich, England, NR3 4EW)”.

I looked up 15076132 at Companies House. It is not UNDR GROUP LIMITED. It is ITAI TECH LTD, incorporated in August 2023, director and person with significant control Anastasija Provotorova, status “Dissolved on 17 February 2026” after a voluntary strike-off. There is no company called UNDR GROUP LIMITED on the UK register. The payment agent on every page of this site has not existed for seven months, and the name attached to its company number was never its name.

Itai Tech is not a random shell. In September 2025 it wrote to Ofcom: “we confirm that Itai Tech Ltd operated undress.app, undress.cc, and undress.love. This constitutes the complete list of services operated by the company.” On 20 November 2025 Ofcom fined it 50,000 pounds for failing to use highly effective age assurance on Undress and 5,000 pounds for ignoring a statutory information request. The decision notes Itai geo-blocked UK IP addresses on 11 May 2025, shortly after the investigation began, and promised the block would stay until it built compliant age checks. BBC News reported the company had applied to strike itself off. Three months later it was gone. The websites were not.

Go back further. Bellingcat’s February 2024 investigation into Clothoff, Nudify, Undress and DrawNudes found the four platforms sharing layouts, dedicated servers and payment tricks; Itai Tech Ltd was “listed on Undress and Nudify domains” and appeared on cached Clothoff pages. Bellingcat documented the network routing card payments through decoy domains and 2Checkout, using Patreon as a disguised subscription rail, and cycling through more than a dozen processors. In April 2026 the Swiss daily NZZ traced undress.app’s trail: domain registered 15 April 2023 at Namecheap behind an Icelandic privacy service, served through Cloudflare, operator in Belize at an address that “also appears in the Panama Papers”, in a jurisdiction NZZ describes as known for ignoring foreign legal assistance requests, and a Latvian director who now lives in Thailand and did not respond to questions.

One more piece: undrgroup.com presents “UNDR GROUP - Artificial Vision”, a B2B generative-AI API company with job listings at the same Belize address and no mention of undressing anyone. I cannot prove it is the same entity as the one in the Terms. Draw your own conclusion.

The Terms end by saying they are “governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom”, a country whose regulator fined the operator and whose residents cannot load the site.

What the Terms say about consent, and what the blog says

The Terms contain one sentence on consent: “We trust our users to generate images responsibly. You are forbidden from generating images of individuals without their explicit consent or individuals who are minors.” A rules modal shown at signup adds: “You can’t use photos of other people without their prior written permission.” There is no mechanism behind either sentence. No consent upload, no identity match, no check that the person in the photo is the person holding the account. The upload dialog’s only guidance is that the subject should have “a relaxed pose and a minimum of clothes.”

Now read the marketing. The blog post that ranks first in the US for “deepfake nude”, published 18 May 2024, opens: “Undress anyone for free using the best web-based Deepfake Nude Generator… Create nuds of celebrities, Youtubers and politicians with Undress AI.” A 13 January 2026 post explains that Grok refuses to strip clothes from photos of real people and continues: “So where do all these people end up when they want the real ‘undress vibe’? They switch to Undress.app - the tool that actually delivers exactly what they were hoping for from Grok.” A 20 January 2026 post targets searches for a named OnlyFans creator’s “leaked nudes” and steers readers to the generator. The site’s own title tag reads “Undress App - Create Deepnude Images for FREE” and its meta description says “Undress her within a few seconds.”

The footer links more than forty keyword pages: “AI Clothes Remover”, “Clothoff AI”, “Nudify AI”, “Candy AI”, “Nectar AI”, “Girlfriend GPT”, “Joyland”. The Candy AI page describes “Candy AI” as “AI tool on Undress.app designed specifically for generating high-quality, realistic nude images from any uploaded photo” and claims “100k Daily Users”. Candy AI is a competitor’s brand that does no such thing. This is brand-jacking at industrial scale, and it is how a DR 67 domain ends up ranking for 5,880 terms.

So the consent policy is a sentence written for the lawyers, surrounded by a content operation written for the customers, with nothing in between to make the sentence true. The only enforcement is after the fact: the TAKE IT DOWN Act page promises to remove reported non-consensual imagery within 48 hours on a signed statement, no government ID required. That is a compliance page for a US law that exists because of sites like this one.

The casino in the sidebar

I did not expect to write this section. The sidebar has a Games tab. The interface strings in the page source describe “Credit Games” and “Cash games”, a Mines game with “minimum bet is 10 credits” and a “how many mines (1-24)” slider, Roulette “coming soon”, “Last Winners” and “Last Bets” feeds, a “Fairness” link, and a FAQ that reads like a gambling forum: “Bankroll management: Keep bets small (1-5% of balance) to survive variance. No strategy guarantees wins”, “Cash out earlier than you think; greed is costly.”

Two banners sit alongside it: “Join SLOT.WIN and claim up to $2,000 bonus + 1,000 Undress.app credits” and a bonus-credits offer for a “BTC deposit at vave.com”. Both are offshore crypto casinos. The footer, meanwhile, links an AML Policy. An anti-money-laundering page on a nudify site with an in-app casino and crypto payments is not reassurance. It is a tell.

First-session walkthrough

The homepage loads without an age gate beyond a rules modal you accept by clicking. Sidebar: Train modes with a “40% OFF” badge, Explore, Video, Image, FaceSwap, Games, Promocode, Referral, Tasks, Creator Rewards. The account card says “Anonymous - Sign up to get started”, Telegram underneath, a “Welcome Bonus” of “1 free undress video generation”, and an “Install the app” PWA banner. Category tiles tell you what the product is for. The upload dialog says “Upload photo to Undress” and asks for “a relaxed pose and a minimum of clothes”. While a job runs: “AI is removing the clothes”, then “Deepnude is underway”, and for free users: “We process your generation with slow speed and low quality. Buy premium credits to fix this.” Signup is email plus confirmation, and by authorizing you “consent to receive updates, offers, and marketing emails.” Prices appear nowhere until you are inside.

Chat experience and memory

There is no chat, no character, no persona and no memory. Mode selection and a handful of sliders are the whole interface. The account persists your credit balance and a “Generations” list with a “Clear All” button, and the privacy policy says the underlying media is cleared within a day. Image generation

I did not run a photograph of any person through this tool and will not describe how well it would work on one. The site advertises Undress, Lingerie, Bikini, Sex and Cumshot modes, Duo scenes, Outfit Swap, Explore modes and LoRA “Train modes”. Free output is blurred and watermarked; the FAQ says “For the unblured version get the Undress AI Pro package.” The Terms claim “one credit, or token, allows for generating one photo.” The buy-credits dialog says 5,000 credits equals “1660-2500 Photo Generations”, so two to three credits per photo. The 15-credit Basic plan is therefore five to seven images, not fifteen. The only Reddit user I found who named a plan is that March 2024 Basic buyer with leftover HD credits. Unused credits on a tiny plan is not a value story. It is someone who paid eleven dollars, generated less than the pack, and tried to give the rest away.

Voice and video

No voice of any kind. Video exists: a Video tab and an image-to-video “Deepnude Video Mode” a 15 December 2025 blog post promotes. Clips cost roughly 25 to 35 credits each per the buy dialog. The site ranks first in the US for “ai face swap porn” on its FaceSwap page. Swapping a real person’s face into pornography without consent is the specific act the TAKE IT DOWN Act criminalises.

Customization depth

Mode presets plus sliders the interface strings name as Body Type, Breast Size and “Pussy Haircut”, with an “age trait” listed among plan features. I could not see what range that slider permits. The Terms ban minors in strong language; that a nudify tool exposes an age control at all is a design choice I will let you sit with. “Train modes” trains a LoRA on uploaded images. There is no free-text prompt for the core flow. Depth here means more ways to operate on a photograph, not more ways to invent something.

NSFW behavior and limits

There is no filter beyond the minors clause, and the Terms describe the moderation as automated. The explicit tiles are on the homepage, the Sex and Cumshot modes are Pro upsells, and the “spicy” tier of the FAQ is the whole product. For fictional content the limit is that there is no fictional pathway: every flow begins with an uploaded photograph of someone. Mobile experience

No store app and there never will be one. The site pushes an “Install the app” PWA banner and an “Android APK” landing page stuffed with “Clothoff APK” and “Nude APK” that just links back to the website. The responsive site works in a phone browser, which is how most of the 877,000 monthly search visits arrive.

Pricing analysis

Prices appear only after signup. A cached first-party plan table shows Basic at $10.99 for 15 credits, Standard at $23.99 for 90, Pro at $97.98 struck through to $48.99 for 600. Affiliates in 2026 quote $11.99 / $24.99 / $47.99, and one quotes $5.49 to $7.77 for Basic. Read the spread as pricing that moves by region and promotion. The picker also shows 1-month, 3-month and 1-year periods and credit packs whose prices I never saw.

Plan credits expire at the end of the period and are non-refundable after it. Purchased packs do not expire. And both can be staked in the Mines game.

Value vs alternatives

Cloth Off, which Bellingcat placed alongside Undress in 2024, has about a third of the search traffic and sits at 3.8; my Cloth Off AI review covers it. Swapper AI (5.1) carries the same legal exposure. Create Porn AI (4.8) bans all uploads and publishes its prices; my Create Porn AI review is where I would send anyone who actually wants fictional adult imagery. PornX (5.1) and PornJourney (4.9) are also upload-free. Candy AI (9.8) and JOI AI (9.7) are companions, not this. For a fictional image, Undress.app costs more per picture than Create Porn and offers nothing they do not, except an upload box. The upload box is the entire reason it exists and the entire reason not to use it.

Refund and cancellation reality

Pick a document. The Terms of Service (11 January 2026): “You have 24 hours after your payment to request a refund… refunds will be denied if you have used more than 20 tokens, regardless of the time elapsed.” The Refunds page (15 August 2024): “Refund requests must be made within 14 days from the purchase date”, processing “up to 10 business days”. Both: “Credits purchased with cryptocurrency are final and non-refundable.” The Terms add a dispute clause: “If a dispute results in a chargeback request being filed, access to paid features and any remaining tokens from the disputed payment will be revoked when the dispute is initiated.”

On recurrence, the Terms are emphatic: “all purchases are one-time transactions. We do not offer auto-renewing subscriptions, recurring charges, or automatic rebills.” The app disagrees. Its interface strings include a dialog titled “Are you sure you want to cancel your subscription?” with the body “Your subscription will be valid until the end of the paid period”, a “Buy Subscription” button on the profile, “/mo” pricing across 1-month, 3-month and 1-year periods, and a toast reading “Subscription cancelled”. Either the Terms are wrong or the dialog is dead code; you will find out on your statement. If you pay, use a card you can freeze, check your profile for a cancel control immediately, and cancel any PayPal billing agreement separately.

Who refunds you is the other open question. The named Payment Agent is dissolved, the Terms name no processor, and I could not determine the merchant of record or the statement descriptor from outside. Across about 315 Reddit comments I also could not find a single person who reported getting a refund, being denied one, or seeing a descriptor they recognised. That absence matches an operator who does not want a paper trail, not a happy customer base.

Safety, privacy and billing discretion

The privacy policy is dated 27 July 2023 and has not been touched since. It says “No media is stored on our servers. But to bring you the ‘result’ they go through a certain path one way or another, files are cleared from 1 hour to a maximum of 1 day.” The Terms say “we do not store or monitor any user data or generated images” and, under the minors heading, “We proactively monitor for any prohibited content using advanced automated systems.” One of those is false. Both were written by the operator.

The realistic picture: your source photo and its output sit for up to 24 hours on infrastructure controlled by an unidentifiable Belize entity, fronted by Cloudflare, with WHOIS hidden behind an Icelandic privacy service, Google Tag Manager on the page, Telegram as the support channel and crypto casinos in the sidebar. Age assurance is an email confirmation, which Ofcom has already ruled inadequate. The October 2024 r/Anxietyhelp post is the user-facing version of that storage clause: friends “messing around on a undress ai website even though it says photos are deleted,” then spiralling about hackers and the dark web. Believe the fear, not the marketing sentence. The one solid safety feature is the TAKE IT DOWN procedure, which exists for victims, not users.

On discretion: the Terms say the company “does not store or retain your card or payment instrument” and that processors are third parties. Nothing tells you what appears on your statement. Crypto is offered and non-refundable, and given the AML page and the casino cross-promotion, it is the payment method I would least want tied to my wallet address.

Common complaints and patterns

Blurred, watermarked free results that exist to sell the Pro tier. Prices hidden until after signup behind a permanent fake strike-through. A refund window that is 24 hours in one document and 14 days in another. A “no subscriptions” promise next to a cancel-subscription dialog. A payment agent that does not exist. Contradictory storage and monitoring claims in the same Terms. Facebook ads that users say survive Community Standards reports. A leftover-credit grey market on Reddit. Affiliate spam so thick that a 2,346-comment “recommendation” thread is mostly “Wow” and Telegram links. Genuine user reports almost impossible to find, unless you count the relationship threads, which are not reviews. They are crime reports. And behind all of it, marketing that openly invites the exact use the Terms forbid.

Final verdict

Undress AI is one of the two biggest sites in this ranking and the clearest case for scoring a business rather than a feature list. The generator is, by all accounts, good at the one thing it does. That thing is, in its dominant real-world use, a crime against the person in the photograph, and the operator knows it: the consent sentence, the TAKE IT DOWN page and the UK geo-block all exist because the law caught up. The dissolved payment agent, the Ofcom fine, the Bellingcat network, the Panama Papers address, the casino tab and the contradictory refund rules are what a company looks like when it expects to have to disappear.

Score breakdown: Traffic and reach 10/10, which is not a virtue. Legitimacy and transparency 0/10: unidentifiable operator, dissolved payment agent, contradictory Terms. Consent and safety 0/10: a consent clause the marketing actively undermines. Product for fictional use 2/10: no upload-free path exists. Pricing transparency 1/10: hidden until signup, three refund rules. Companion features 0/10: none. I would score this below Cloth Off; the 4.7 stands because I do not change ratings in a rewrite.
