Fantasy AI is three things wearing one name, and my old review got two of them wrong. It is the fourth and smallest brand of DreamAI SRL, the Romanian company behind DreamGF, DreamBF and eHentai. It is not FantasyGF, a bigger product from a different Romanian company that most people typing “fantasy ai girlfriend” are actually looking for. And it sits on a domain that, in early 2023, belonged to a Stable Diffusion model-hosting site that picked a very public fight with the open-source community. None of that is on the homepage.

What is on the homepage, or rather behind the login, is a voice-first companion app: about two hundred realistic female presets, a builder, uncensored chat, images on request, and live phone calls with a couple of dozen voices. The calls are genuinely the best thing the DreamAI family makes. They are also billed by the minute in tokens, which turns the cheapest annual plan in my ranking into a $30-50-a-month habit for anyone who actually uses the feature that justifies it.

My first version of this review said there were no voice calls, described anime and oil-painting image styles that don’t exist, invented a pricing table it labelled “plausible”, and misread the 2257 page. This version is built from the site’s own policy pages, which are unusually complete, from the Ahrefs data, and from the Reddit threads, several of which are astroturf and one of which raises a question I can’t answer.

TL;DR verdict

If real-time voice is your priority and you want it cheap, Fantasy AI is the best entry point in the DreamAI family and one of the better voice experiences under $10 a month anywhere in my ranking. The intro pricing is honest ($7.99 first month, $69.99 first year), tokens don’t expire, and the company is the same known quantity as DreamGF.

If you want anime, men, custom image prompts, deep memory or a product whose “video” feature is definitely what it says, look elsewhere. Renewals double, calls burn seven tokens a minute, and the membership policy carries the family’s $1.99 maintenance clause. The 8.4 stands on voice and price. Read the pricing section before you fall for the $5.83 headline, start with the free 25 tokens, and make one call before you pay for anything.

The numbers nobody else will show you

Ahrefs data for fantasy.ai as of September 15, 2026:

• Domain Rating 37, with 1,106 referring domains (316 followed) and about 11,600 backlinks. That’s a respectable link profile for a site this small, and part of it is inherited: some of those links date from the domain’s 2023 life as a model hub, when half of r/StableDiffusion was linking to it in anger.
• An estimated 2,030 Ahrefs-estimated organic search visits in August 2026, up from 1,272 in August 2025, a 60% gain. Peak month was December 2025 at 3,083. Small, growing slowly, nothing dramatic.
• It ranks for about 161 keywords, 24 in the top three. Top countries: US, India, Mexico. The site ships German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese versions, which explains the non-English tail.

For scale: DreamGF, the family flagship, pulls about 50,000 organic visits a month; eHentai about 27,000; Fantasy AI about 2,000. It is the runt of the litter by traffic, which matters in two ways. First, it gets the least attention: the pricing policy page still contains a commented-out copy of eHentai’s price table, and the “what’s included” block says 200 tokens while the membership policy and plans page say 100. Second, it’s not going anywhere on its own; its survival depends on the parent, which is a real company with three bigger properties.

One more thing the traffic data can’t show you but the domain history can. Search “fantasy.ai” on Reddit and the biggest threads are from March 2023 in r/StableDiffusion, titled things like “Exposing sinkin.ai/fantasy.ai” and “I got insider news into the pitch fantasy ai gave to model makers”. That was a different business, a model-hosting platform offering creators $150 a month for exclusive commercial rights to community models, and the community reacted about how you’d expect. By mid-2024 the membership policy for the current product was in force under DreamAI. I can’t tell you whether DreamAI bought the domain from that operator or what happened in between. I can tell you that if you Google the brand, you’ll hit that history, and it has nothing to do with the app you’d be paying for.

Who this is for

You’re the customer if you want to talk, out loud, to a companion who talks back, and you want to pay as little as possible to try that. The voice library is large (two dozen options across female and male voices per user reports and other reviewers), the calls are real-time rather than voice notes, and the emotional inflection is better than a text-to-speech gimmick. Several independent reviewers who otherwise scored the app in the sixes still called voice its standout, and the six-week Reddit reviewer’s line was that “the live phone calls are actually usable, real back-and-forth with natural emotional inflection”. That matches my experience with the family’s voice stack.

You’re also the customer if you want realistic-looking women and don’t care about anything else. The ~200 presets are photoreal, the builder produces more of the same, and if that’s your taste it’s a fast path.

And you’re the customer if you like the DreamAI engine but not DreamGF’s price. Same chat, same token costs, same policies, cheaper first month and cheaper first year.

Who should skip this

Skip it if you want anime or men. There are none. The Reddit reviewer’s “all realistic females, no anime, no male options” is accurate as of September 2026, and a reply under it summed up the market’s view: “The no anime thing is a dealbreaker for a lot of people.” Dream GF has both; Dream BF has men.

Skip it if you want to write your own image prompts. Generation is preset and context-driven at 10 tokens a go, with no free-text box. If images are the point, Candy or a pure generator will serve you better.

Skip it if you use voice heavily and hate arithmetic. Seven tokens a minute means a 15-minute call costs more than your entire monthly allowance. One user put a 20-minute call at 140 tokens. The feature that makes the app good is the feature that makes it expensive.

Skip it if long memory matters. “Decent short-term but fades after a week or two on longer arcs” is the consensus and matches the rest of the family.

And skip it, or at least don’t pay for it, if the video question below bothers you as much as it bothers me.

What Reddit actually says

I went through 13 brand-matching posts and about 535 comments that mention fantasy.ai. Almost none of them are about the companion app you would pay for today. The domain string pulls a March 2023 r/StableDiffusion war about a model-hosting startup, a basketball lineup tool at winfantasy.ai, and random posts that just contain the word “fantasy.” The current product lives under a different search: people write “Fantasy AI” without the dot. Those companion threads exist, they are thin, and several of them are ads. I’ll sort them, then give the 2023 pile its own section, because it is still what Google surfaces first.

The most detailed companion thread is a six-week “pros and cons” post in r/AIGirlfriendsReviews. Praise: above-average conversation, adaptive roleplay, voice as “the standout, 24 options”, photoreal images that match the character, fully uncensored, “$12.99/month or $5.83 annual”. Complaints: “Token system kills it. Everything costs tokens”, “100 free tokens/month on premium but a 20-minute call alone costs 140”, a small library of “~200 characters, all realistic females, no anime, no male options”, memory that “fades after a week or two”, and “the AI sometimes sends unsolicited pictures mid-chat and charges tokens for it”. Then the post pivots to recommending a different app by name, and three of the six replies recommend the same app. That’s the astroturf pattern I flag whenever I see it. The specific product details in the post check out against the site’s own pricing policy, so I’m using them; the recommendation at the end I’m ignoring.

Two near-identical “honest review” posts in r/BestVirtualGirlfriend and r/AiGirlfriendSpace read as templated content from the same source. They agree with each other, which is not surprising, but they also agree with the thread above: easy setup, realistic looks, voice calls as the draw, versus “shallow conversations”, “no anime girls available”, “constant pop-ups trying to sell you stuff”, “girlfriend tries to sell you pictures mid-conversation” and “voice quality is scratchy and cuts out”. The scratchy-voice complaint is the one place the sources disagree, and I’d read it as network-dependent.

The thread I’d actually want you to read is a plain question in r/AiGirlfriendSpace from February 2026, “Has anyone tried Fantasy AI?”, with six replies from what look like normal accounts. One: “kinda fun but got super frustrating how often it forgot stuff.” Another: “fantasy ai felt a bit sketchy when i tried… chat/memory are fine, but the ‘videos’ don’t seem AI-generated, more like short clips of real girls from a library.” I come back to that one below. And one reply that’s just “My husband :(” which I include because it’s the most honest thing anyone said in any of these threads.

Among genuine companion comments, the split is roughly mixed-to-negative: voice is the reason people stay, tokens and unsolicited paid pictures are the reason they leave, and nobody is posting a spend log or a cancellation story. No thread about billing disputes or the $1.99 maintenance fee. No thread about refunds.

The promotional layer is getting louder. r/VirtualLoversAI hosted a March 2026 “Fantasy AI Review 2026” written in the same breathless template as the Fanfinity posts on that subreddit the same month: invented version numbers, a “Persistent Lore Engine,” world-lore slots, a marketing-blog outbound link. The site does not advertise those features. r/CompanionGuide_ai ranks it in a “top 9 video companions” listicle. A “JOI AI vs. Fantasy AI 2026” post on the same VirtualLoversAI sub claims Fantasy takes “Anonymous Crypto Payments,” which nothing on fantasy.ai or in DreamAI’s policies describes. Skip outbound links, skip versioned “v5.1 update” writeups, and read what’s left.

What r/StableDiffusion still thinks this domain is

Search fantasy.ai on Reddit and the top threads are from March 2023, not 2026. They are about the previous occupant of the domain, a Stable Diffusion model-hosting platform tied to sinkin.ai, and they are still the loudest thing attached to the name.

The short version. The operator offered model creators exclusive commercial licences, about “$150 a month for commercial rights,” covering “ALL their work, past and future” on a three-year contract. One commenter called that “breadcrumbs” while “the guy behind fantasy.ai will be making thousands from your model.” They claimed exclusivity over community models that were themselves merges of other people’s work. They tried to force down a YouTuber’s critique; the reupload thread hit 1,510 upvotes, and the top reply was simply “Fantasy AI can go fuck themselves.” Someone summarised the arc as “Some NFT project showed up, claimed exclusive rights over use of models and threatened legal actions, then made an AMA post about how they were the future of model hosting.” A commenter who signed up for the waitlist got “You’re the 343,542 person in line to get access,” then a referral bump pitch, then “spam mails” linking to tracking sites. Another said they “had enough capital to attempt buying CivitAI.” A 157-comment thread accused them of vote manipulation on the subreddit. The community advice that stuck: “just ignore fantasy.ai completely and don’t download any model from them.”

I am not pinning any of that on DreamAI SRL. The current membership policy is dated July 2024, the footer is the DreamGF family, and I cannot show you a bill of sale. What I am pinning on the domain is this: three years later, that fight is still the first Reddit result, it still reads as if it is about the app you’d pay for, and nobody at DreamAI has published a sentence separating the two. If you land here after Googling the 2023 drama, you are on the wrong product. If you land on the 2023 drama after Googling this product, that is the brand’s problem.

Three different things called Fantasy

This needs its own section because the name is doing real damage to anyone trying to research it.

Fantasy AI, fantasy.ai, the subject of this review: DreamAI SRL, Bucharest, Romania. Same footer address as eHentai and DreamGF, same trade registry number, same privacy policy word for word, and the homepage footer links straight to the DreamGF Facebook page and the r/DreamGF_ai subreddit. The affiliate policy on the sister sites names “DreamGF, eHentai, DreamBF, and Fantasy AI” as the company’s brands. It is the voice-first member of the family.

FantasyGF, fantasygf.com (formerly fantasygf.ai): ADVANCED AI LABS S.R.L., Oradea, Romania. Different company, different city, different product, bigger audience. Two Romanian AI-girlfriend companies with near-identical brand names is a coincidence I’d have rejected in fiction. If you searched for “fantasy ai” after seeing FantasyGF advertised, you’re on the wrong review; if you searched for Fantasy AI and landed on fantasygf.com, you’re on the wrong site.

The 2023 fantasy.ai: a Stable Diffusion model-hosting platform associated with sinkin.ai that offered model creators small monthly payments for exclusive commercial rights and got publicly torn apart for it. Its own statement thread is still up in r/Fantasy_AI. The March 2023 comment section is nastier and more specific than that summary: a forced-down critic video, a 343,542-person waitlist with referral spam, and an attempted CivitAI buyout. That business and the current product share a domain and nothing else that I can see. It’s worth knowing because a large slice of what you’ll find searching the name is about it.

First-session walkthrough

The site is a JavaScript app, so a plain page fetch on September 15, 2026 returns only the footer: the DreamAI SRL address, links to Subscriptions, Become an Affiliate, Terms and Policies, 18 U.S.C. 2257, a blog, “Fantasy.ai vs Alternatives”, Support, Contact us, Complaints and FAQ, plus Discord, Telegram, Instagram, X and, tellingly, Facebook and Reddit links that point at DreamGF’s accounts. Language switchers cover DE, ES, FR, JA, KO and PT.

Inside, as indexed: a “Summer Promo - 75% OFF + EXTRA TOKENS” banner, “Sign up for free and receive 25 tokens”, and a plans grid with a $5.99 seven-day Premium trial, $7.99 first month, $29.97 first quarter and the $5.83-a-month annual headline. Age verification is a self-declaration, except in the UK, where a notice dated July 25, 2025 says “some features of our platform will now require age verification for UK-based users” under the Online Safety Act. That makes DreamAI one of the few operators in my set that has published anything about UK compliance at all.

From there it’s the family flow: pick a preset or build one (20 tokens), get dropped into chat, get offered a call. Expect the upsells other users describe: promotional pop-ups, and companions offering paid pictures mid-scene.

Chat experience and memory

The text engine is the DreamAI engine: fast, flirty, willing, and better at scene-setting than at remembering. A Story Mode adds chaptered scenarios that carry across sessions, which one reviewer rated the best part of the app and which does give roleplay more structure than the family’s default free-chat. Conversation quality is “above average” per the six-week reviewer and “shallow, short answers that don’t make sense” per the templated ones; my read is that it’s good when you drive and thin when you don’t.

Memory is the family weakness. History persists and the character keeps its setup, but detail recall drops off after a week or two on longer arcs and there’s no memory panel to fix it. The “how often it forgot stuff” complaint is representative.

Image generation

Images are 10 tokens each, generated from presets and chat context rather than a prompt box, in a single realistic style. They match the character reasonably well and look like the rest of the DreamAI output: competent, a little glossy, occasional hand problems. Two things to know. First, companions will offer or send pictures unprompted, and those cost tokens too; multiple users flagged this and I’d call it the single most annoying billing behaviour in the app. Second, at 10 tokens a picture your 100 monthly tokens are ten images if you never make a call. If you make calls, they’re fewer.

Voice and video

Voice is why you’re here. Voice messages cost 3 tokens; live calls cost 7 tokens a minute. The voice library is the largest in the family, the calls are genuinely real-time, and the inflection is a notch above what the sibling sites offer. Some users report scratchy audio and drop-outs; I’d assume that’s connection-dependent but it exists. Two third-party reviewers mention a voice-cloning option; nothing on the site’s own pages describes one, so I’ve left it as unverified.

Video is where I have to be careful. The plans page lists “Unlock Videos” as a Premium perk. Other reviewers describe it as a token-gated gallery per companion, around 200 tokens an unlock, not video generation. One Reddit user said the clips “don’t seem AI-generated, more like short clips of real girls from a library”. The site’s 2257 exemption page states that no real individuals are portrayed in any content on the platform, which is the legal basis for not keeping performer records. I could not verify what the clips are without paying, and I’m not going to state as fact something I couldn’t check. What I will say: treat “video” as a gallery, not a feature, don’t buy the app for it, and if you unlock one and it looks like stock footage, that’s worth a complaint to the address on the complaints page, because it would contradict the company’s own compliance statement.

Customization depth

The builder is the family’s menu system: appearance presets, body options, outfit, a personality archetype and a name, at 20 tokens per new companion. Realistic style only. It’s fine and fast, and shallower than Candy’s slider-and-backstory creator. The 200-odd presets do most of the work for most users, which several reviewers noted with mild disappointment: “can’t tell the app exactly what you want your girl to look like; stuck with what they offer.” Voice selection is the one place customisation is richer here than anywhere else in the family.

NSFW behavior and limits

Uncensored within the standard DreamAI fence: nothing resembling minors or real people, no manipulating the model for forbidden output, account termination for either. Explicit chat needs no warm-up, calls go explicit, images are unblurred once you pay. The practical limits are financial: tokens for every picture, every voice note, every call minute, and a companion who will try to sell you content in the middle of a scene. If voice is your thing, use the free tokens on one call before you decide whether the meter is something you can live with.

Mobile experience

Browser only, responsive, no app, no push notifications. Calls work in a mobile browser but background audio doesn’t survive the screen locking, which is the one place the lack of a native app really hurts an audio-first product. Localised versions help non-English users. Otherwise it’s the standard uncensored-web-app compromise.

Pricing analysis

From the pricing policy page as loaded September 15, 2026:

Every plan includes 100 tokens a month (the pricing policy’s “what’s included” box says 200; the membership policy and the plans page say 100; assume 100). Token costs: companion 20, image 10, voice message 3, call 7 per minute. Packs run $2.99 to $179.99, premium members only, charged on click. Unlike most token schemes, the membership policy says “tokens do not expire”, which is a real point in Fantasy’s favour and the one place its terms are kinder than eHentai’s.

Three usage profiles after the intro period:

• Text-mostly with an occasional picture: $14.99 a month, or about $13 on annual. Tokens roughly cover you. This is the cheapest DreamAI plan and a fair deal.
• One 15-minute call a week: 420 tokens a month, so 320 beyond the allowance. Two or three packs. Call it $35-50 all-in; I can’t be more precise because per-token prices only show at checkout.
• Daily caller: don’t. Genuinely, the meter makes this the wrong app for heavy voice use, which is a strange thing to say about a voice app.

Two clauses to keep in view. The membership policy’s section 7 reserves a $1.99 monthly maintenance charge on any account that has ever paid, avoidable by deleting the account. The pricing policy adds a separate rule: a failed rebill triggers a $2 maintenance fee to keep you Premium until the next attempt, up to three attempts, then automatic cancellation. Neither is a scandal at these amounts, but both are the kind of thing you should know before you let a card expire on file.

Value vs alternatives

Inside the family: Dream GF is the same engine with anime and realistic styles, a much bigger library and a higher renewal price; eHentai AI is the anime-only version; Dream BF is where the men are. Fantasy AI is the cheapest way in and the best voice.

Outside it: Candy AI has better images, video that is actually generated, a deeper creator and voice calls at 3 tokens a minute against Fantasy’s 7. Kupid AI is the other app in my ranking I’d send a voice-first user to, at a higher subscription but with a more generous allowance. Fanfinity AI, which shares Fantasy’s 8.4, is broader (guys, anime, video) and cheaper on paper but has no track record at all; Fantasy is the known quantity of the two.

Rule: Fantasy AI if you want cheap, realistic and voice-led, and you’ll keep calls short. Anything above it if you want images, memory, variety or a meter you don’t have to think about.

Refund and cancellation reality

Cancellation is the clearest thing on the site: the pricing policy names the page, /profile/billing, and says access runs to the end of the paid term with no further charges. Good.

Refunds are a layered no. The refund page: non-refundable “unless required by applicable consumer protection laws”, with the free trial cited as your chance to have decided. The membership policy: no refunds on used tokens or partially used packs. The Terms: “refunds may be granted at our discretion.” And there’s a full chargeback policy that promises investigation, says fraudulent or unsubstantiated chargebacks can make you liable for fees, and reserves termination for “chargeback abuse”. If you’re in the EU, the 14-day withdrawal right is your argument and the “unless required by law” wording concedes it. Otherwise: virtual card, cancel before renewal, delete the account when you leave so the maintenance clause has nothing to attach to.

Safety, privacy and billing discretion

The privacy policy is the DreamAI policy: DreamAI SRL as GDPR controller, processing in the EEA, DigitalOcean for storage, sharing with infrastructure, accounting and legal providers, no card data held, a rights section for EEA, Swiss and UK users, and an explicit note that what you say about your sex life is special-category data you’re providing voluntarily. Retention is “no longer than necessary” with no periods. No model-training clause either way. No mention of two-factor authentication. No end-to-end encryption; my old review said security was “TLS with password hashing”, which is roughly right and I’ve kept the substance.

What’s specific to Fantasy: the UK age-verification notice of July 2025, which is more than most competitors have published; a chargeback policy that describes “robust identity verification processes during registration and transactional activities”, which in practice means the processor’s checks, not the site’s; and the video question above, which is a compliance question as much as a product one. Billing discretion: the pricing policy promises no adult descriptors on statements; processors are unnamed.

Burner email, virtual card, no real names, and delete the account when you’re done.

Common complaints and patterns

From the threads and the policy pages, ranked by how much they should weigh on you: tokens for everything, especially calls at 7 a minute; unsolicited paid pictures mid-chat; renewal prices double the intro; no anime and no men; preset-only images; memory fading after a week or two; pop-ups and sales prompts breaking scenes; scratchy call audio for some users; the unresolved question of what the “videos” are; and, if you research the name, a 2023 model-hub scandal that is still the first Reddit result and is not this company. Praise clusters around voice quality and range, realistic looks, easy setup, and the price of the first year.

Final verdict

Fantasy AI is a good, cheap voice companion attached to a token meter that punishes you for using it as one, from a real company that copy-pastes its own policies and hasn’t cleaned up this brand’s pages as carefully as its bigger ones. The 8.4 holds on the strength of the calls and the first-year price, and on the fact that DreamAI is a known entity with GDPR paperwork and a UK compliance notice. It would drop if the video clips turned out to be what one user thinks they are, and I’d revisit it if I could confirm that either way.

Score breakdown: Voice, the best in the DreamAI family and strong for the price. Images, competent, preset-only, realistic-only. Chat, willing, structured by Story Mode, weak long-term memory. Video, a gallery with an open question. Customization, fast and shallow. Value, excellent for text users on annual, poor for heavy callers. Safety and billing, legitimate company, non-refundable, two maintenance clauses, delete on exit.

Get it if you want to talk to a realistic companion out loud for the cost of a coffee a month and you’ll keep the calls short. Skip it if you want anime, men, prompts or memory. Use the 25 free tokens on a call, then decide: Fantasy AI.
