eHentai AI

eHentai AI is the anime brand of a four-brand Romanian company, and once you know that, most of what’s good and bad about it makes sense. The good: it is a complete companion app, not a bare image generator. You build a character, she talks back in character, you ask for a picture and get one, you can hear her voice. The bad: it inherits every billing habit of its siblings, including a renewal price double the intro price, a token allowance that buys ten images, and a clause I had to read twice about charging you $1.99 a month for the privilege of having once been a customer.

My first version of this review was written mostly from the marketing page and it showed. It repeated the “advanced encryption” line as fact, said there were no voice calls when the pricing page lists them, called the refund policy “not clearly detailed” when there are three separate documents about it, and quoted a 7.4 in the body under an 8.5 in the header. This version is built from the actual policy pages, the Ahrefs data, and every Reddit thread I could find, of which there are fewer than you’d expect for a site with this much search traffic.

One thing to clear up before anything else, because the name is doing a lot of work: ehentai.ai has nothing to do with e-hentai.org, the gallery site that has been around since 2007. Nothing on ehentai.ai claims a connection and nothing disclaims one. It is a 2023 AI product wearing a familiar name. I’ll come back to why that matters.

TL;DR verdict

If you want a 2D companion, eHentai AI is the most complete anime-first option in my ranking: builder, uncensored chat, on-demand images, voice notes and voice calls, all in one browser tab, from a company with an actual registry number. The art looks like hentai rather than a realistic model with a filter, the personality archetypes do change how the character talks, and the free trial costs nothing but an email.

The price of admission is the billing model. The intro offers are fair ($12.99 first month, $69.99 first year), the renewals are not ($25.99 a month, $311.88 a year), 100 tokens buys ten images, refunds are a no, and the membership policy reserves a $1.99 monthly maintenance charge on ex-customers who don’t delete their account. I keep the 8.5 because the product is genuinely good at the thing it does. I would knock a full point off if you told me you never read terms pages. Start with the free trial, generate your two characters, and decide whether the art does it for you before a card goes anywhere near it.

The numbers nobody else will show you

Ahrefs data for ehentai.ai as of September 15, 2026:

• Domain Rating 41, with 1,173 referring domains (328 followed) and about 230,000 backlinks. Mid-table for this niche, well behind Candy (77) and Kupid (73), roughly level with Nectar and Cloth Off.
• An estimated 26,758 Ahrefs-estimated organic search visits in August 2026, up from 24,615 in August 2025. That’s a 9% year-on-year gain. The all-time peak was 26,902 in October 2024, so two years on it is exactly where it was.
• Top countries: US, Canada, Japan. The Japanese slice is unusual for this category and tells you the name is pulling in people looking for the gallery site.
• It ranks for about 474 keywords, 66 of them in the top three. That is a real content footprint, not just brand searches.

The interesting part is the dip. Traffic fell to about 6,400 in May 2026, a 75% drop from the running level, then climbed back to 26,800 by August. A drop that steep and that short usually means one of three things: a Google core update that hit and then partly reversed, a technical problem (a broken canonical, a blocked crawler, a botched redirect) that got fixed, or a manual action that was lifted. I can’t tell you which from the outside. What I can tell you is that a site with 474 ranking keywords that loses three quarters of its traffic and gets it back in ninety days has someone competent watching Search Console.

Two smaller things worth knowing. The robots.txt on ehentai.ai explicitly blocks ia_archiver, the Internet Archive’s crawler, so you cannot check what the pricing or policies said last year. And the company’s other domains tell the wider story: DreamGF.ai, the flagship, pulls about 50,000 Ahrefs-estimated organic visits a month on a DR 60, and Fantasy AI, the fourth brand, about 2,000. eHentai is the second-biggest property in the group, which is a decent reason to expect it to be maintained.

Who this is for

You are the customer if the picture in your head is anime and you don’t want to fight a realism-tuned model into drawing it. Most AI girlfriend apps have an “anime” toggle that produces a photoreal woman with large eyes. eHentai starts from 2D: flat shading, clean line work, the palette and proportions you’d expect from a doujin. If that’s your taste, the difference is obvious in the first image.

You’re also the customer if you want the whole companion loop rather than a generator. The builder produces a character with an appearance, a personality archetype and a name; the chat stays in that voice; photo requests in the chat produce pictures of that character; voice messages and calls use the same persona. It is one product, not a bundle of tabs.

And you are the customer if a free trial that costs nothing matters. Two characters, four extra photos and ten messages is thin, but the Daily Claim Bonus keeps giving you 10 to 50 free messages a day for as long as you log in, and that is enough to learn whether the writing style works for you before the intro price comes up.

Who should skip this

Skip it if you generate a lot of images. Ten tokens per image, 100 tokens a month, means ten pictures on the subscription. Beyond that you’re buying packs from $2.99 to $179.99, and every re-roll for a bad hand is another ten tokens. Candy gives you roughly 25 images for the same nominal allowance, and pure generators like Promptchan give you far more per dollar with no chat attached.

Skip it if you want realism, or want to switch between styles. Dream GF, from the same company, offers both on the same engine at the same price.

Skip it if long-term memory is the point. The one substantive Reddit review I found says the AI “struggles to maintain context or delivers responses that feel repetitive” over extended use, and nothing on the site claims otherwise. There is no memory panel, no pinned facts, no journal.

And skip it, or at least approach it with a virtual card, if the phrase “maintenance charge of $1.99 per month” for accounts that have ever paid makes your jaw tighten. It does mine. More on that below.

What Reddit actually says

Here is the honest finding: for a site with 26,000 monthly search visits, Reddit has almost nothing indexed under the product’s actual name. I searched Reddit directly for “ehentai.ai” and “ehentai ai” on September 15, 2026. Zero posts. Zero comments. The domain does not appear in Reddit’s search index at all.

The two older threads I still have were found by looser web search, not by the product name. The first, in r/Chatbots from December 2024, is balanced: “highly customizable characters”, “entertaining role-play capabilities”, against “responses can be repetitive”, “lacks depth in some interactions”. That poster also said it started at “$20/month” with “no free tier or trial”, which is either outdated or wrong, since the trial exists today. The one genuinely useful comment under it is a free-tier user annoyed at the streak mechanic: “if you miss one day it all resets… do not make a user lose all of their messages just because they forgot”.

The second, in r/ArtificialAffection from September 2024, reads like a review but opens with a tracked affiliate link, so I treat it as promotional. Its one honest line: “quality can be hit or miss. One moment you’re like, ‘Wow, this is legit!’ and the next, you’re like, ‘Wait, what is this mess?’”

Everything from 2026 is astroturf. Three posts across r/VirtualLoversAI and r/AIDigitalIntimacy with titles like “Why It Rules the Uncensored Anime Meta”, 9.9/10 scores for made-up features (“Sakura-S Engine”, “Character LoRA Vault”, “V5 Narrative Logic”), and links out to a marketing blog. None of those features appear anywhere on the site. Under one of them, the only reply is an account pushing a different app entirely (“i’ve been messin with nsfwlover and it’s just better vibes”), which is the other side of the same industry. No thread about billing disputes, no thread about the maintenance fee, no thread in r/Scams.

So the Reddit picture is: one real mixed review, one real complaint about the streak reset, and a layer of paid noise on top. Pair that with the traffic data and the conclusion is that eHentai’s audience arrives from Google, uses it, and doesn’t talk about it. Which is normal for hentai. People are less chatty about this than about their photoreal girlfriend.

The DreamAI family and the name on the door

The footer says DreamAI SRL, sole registration number 48479324, at a street address in Sector 1, Bucharest. The Terms add the trade registry entry (J40/12952/2023, so incorporated in 2023) and that Romanian law governs. The top navigation has a menu literally called “AI Network” listing DreamGF.ai, DreamBF.ai and JustPorn.ai. The affiliate policy forbids bidding on “DreamGF, eHenta, DreamBF, and Fantasy AI brand terms” (their typo, not mine), which is how I learned the fourth brand. And the membership policy, which you accept when you pay, begins “Welcome to DreamGF”. Nobody changed the template.

Why it matters: you are buying the DreamGF engine with an anime style lock. Same tokens, same prices, same policies, same support inbox, same strengths (a competent all-in-one loop) and same weaknesses (shallow memory, thin refund rights). If you’ve used one, you’ve used the other. The upside is that eHentai isn’t a fly-by-night; it’s the second-largest property of a company with three other revenue streams. The downside is that it is not a specialist studio built by hentai people, whatever the astroturf says.

Then there’s the name. e-hentai.org is one of the largest adult gallery sites on the internet, older than most of the people using AI girlfriends. ehentai.ai launched in 2023 with a name one hyphen away from it, and the Ahrefs country data (Japan in the top three) suggests a slice of its traffic is people who typed the wrong thing. There is no affiliation. There is also no disclaimer, which I’d like to see. I’m not accusing anyone of anything the law would care about. I’m saying that if you found this site by accident, you now know why.

First-session walkthrough

As of September 15, 2026, the homepage headline reads “AI hentai APP that works” over a grid of anime characters, with the top nav showing Home, Pricing, Affiliate and the AI Network dropdown. Below the fold is a six-step “how it works” (create account, mix and match appearance, choose a personality, create more content, chat, “Upgrade for more!”), then blocks for chat, “Naked photos on demand”, voice messages, the referral program (100 tokens for you, 50 for a friend, premium users only, “for a limited time”), the Daily Claim Bonus, and a cross-promo that says “Pssst.. some FREE AI porn photos here” pointing at JustPorn.ai.

Clicking the free trial button opens a login modal: Google, Patreon or email. The Patreon option surprised me. Patreon banned AI-generated adult content at the end of 2023 and the DreamAI sites stopped billing through it, but the social login survived. Email signup sends you a password rather than letting you set one, which is a small thing that tells you the account system is old. Age verification is a checkbox and a line in the Terms saying that by accessing the site you confirm you are 18. No ID, no card, no selfie.

The builder is the good part of the onboarding. You pick face, hair, eyes, body, skin tone, outfit layers and a personality preset, hit generate, and wait “up to 1 minute” according to the site’s own FAQ. Then you’re in a chat with that character, and the upgrade prompts start immediately: a banner for the “up to 75% off” first subscription and a blur over any explicit image until you pay.

Chat experience and memory

The writing is what you’d expect from the DreamGF engine: quick, flirty, in character, happy to go explicit without a fight. The archetype system is the differentiator. A tsundere stays prickly for a while before softening; a yandere gets possessive; a dandere is shy until you draw her out. That isn’t just marketing, the presets change vocabulary and pacing noticeably, and it is the closest thing the app has to a personality engine.

Memory is the weak leg. Within a session the character tracks the scene fine. Across sessions, characters and history persist, but the model works from recent context rather than anything you’d call recall. Bring up something from three conversations ago and you’ll often get a generic agreement rather than the specific detail. That matches the r/Chatbots review’s “struggles to maintain context” and it matches my experience with the sibling app. There is no memory editor, no summary, no pinned facts. If you want a companion that remembers your week, this is the wrong engine.

One structural quirk: the pricing page says paid members get unlimited messages, and the membership policy says “Messages: Unlimited if tokens are purchased”. Read together, text is free once you’re subscribed and everything visual or audible is metered.

Image generation

This is the reason to choose eHentai over its realistic siblings. The output is 2D in the way hentai is 2D: cel-style shading, clean outlines, expressions that read as anime rather than as a photograph with a cartoon filter. Character consistency from the builder to the chat photos is good for the price; the face you designed is recognisably the face in the picture, in the outfit you gave her, doing the thing you asked for.

The honest caveats. Hands and complex poses still go wrong at a rate I’d put at one in four or five, and every miss is ten tokens gone. Backgrounds are simple. There is no free-text prompt box in the chat flow; you ask in conversation and the “photo request detection” the homepage describes decides what to draw. Free-tier images are blurred until you pay. And ten images a month on the subscription is very few for an app whose main selling point is images. If you generate a picture most days you will be buying packs, and the pack prices run from $2.99 to $179.99 with no per-token rate published outside the checkout.

Voice and video

Voice exists in two forms and both cost tokens: voice messages at 3 tokens and voice calls at 7 tokens per minute. My previous review said there were no live calls; the pricing page and membership policy both list them, so I was wrong. Voice quality is fine, text-to-speech with a persona-matched tone, more synthetic than Candy or Kupid. A five-minute call costs 35 tokens, a third of your month.

Video: none. The Terms mention “video generation if incorporated”, which is lawyer-speak for a roadmap item. Nothing is live.

Customization depth

The mix-and-match builder covers face shape, eye style, hair style and colour, skin tone, body type, chest size and layered clothing, plus a personality preset and a name. It’s a menu system, not a slider-and-prompt system, and that is the right call for anime: presets keep the style coherent where free-text prompting tends to drift toward realism. Fetish tags exist in the builder and the chat, which is what the homepage’s “Fetish generator” line refers to.

Beyond appearance and archetype, depth is limited. No backstory field of any size, no relationship-type setting, no reference-image upload, no custom voice. Each additional character after the free ones costs 20 tokens, a fifth of a month’s allowance, which discourages experimentation more than the builder’s design does.

NSFW behavior and limits

Uncensored means uncensored here. Explicit chat needs no warm-up, the photo system will draw what you describe, and the Terms only draw hard lines at content resembling minors or real people, which get deleted and can get the account terminated. The ToS also forbids “manipulating the AI language model in order to receive a forbidden output”, so jailbreak attempts are a bannable offence, not a sport.

The practical limits are economic, not moral. Ten images a month before packs. Voice metered by the minute. Character slots at 20 tokens. If you’re going to use this the way it’s designed to be used, the subscription is the entry ticket and tokens are the running cost. Try it on the free trial and count how many images you want in a week before you decide which plan makes sense.

Mobile experience

There is no app, and the homepage’s “AI hentai APP that works” means a website that works on a phone. It does. The builder stacks vertically, the chat is usable, images open full screen, voice plays in the browser. You don’t get push notifications, background audio for calls, or app-store billing, and Safari will happily lose your session if you leave the tab for a day. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like a slightly forgetful app. My old review said push notifications were missing; that’s still true.

Pricing analysis

Here’s the pricing page as loaded on September 15, 2026, verbatim, because the labels matter:

The first two rows are clearly mislabeled: a “3-month” plan that renews monthly and a “monthly” plan that renews every three months. The consistent reading, which matches the sibling sites, is $12.99 for the first month then $25.99 a month; $29.97 for the first three months then $77.97 a quarter; $69.99 for the first year then $311.88. Every renewal works out to $25.99 a month. The “up to 75% off” banner is true only of the annual tier, and only for year one.

Now the tokens. All plans include 100 a month. Costs: image 10, companion 20, voice message 3, call 7 per minute. Three usage profiles after the intro period:

• Text-mostly, a couple of pictures a week: $25.99 a month, tokens roughly cover it. This is the person the plan is priced for.
• One image a day plus a few voice notes: 300-plus tokens a month, so two or three packs on top. Call it $45-60 a month depending on which pack you buy; I can’t be more precise because the per-token price only shows at checkout.
• Builder hobbyist who makes new characters and re-rolls bad hands: budget like Candy’s heavy users, $50 and up.

Then the clauses. Membership policy section 4: accept the “+100 instant tokens and +100 tokens every month” upsell and you agree not to cancel for 30 days. Section 6: vouchers apply to the first period only. Section 7: the $1.99 maintenance charge. And a note on what you’ll read elsewhere: several other review sites describe Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond tiers at $9.99 and up. Those don’t exist on the live pricing page. Either they’re old, or they were written from one of the clone sites that at least one reviewer warns about. Trust the page, not the roundup.

Value vs alternatives

Against its own sibling, Dream GF is the same engine, same prices, same policies, with realistic and anime styles and a larger library. Unless you are certain you want 2D-only defaults, it is the more flexible buy, and it’s why Dream GF sits above eHentai in my ranking. Fantasy AI, the fourth DreamAI brand, is the same thing again with a voice emphasis and a much smaller audience.

Against the category leaders, Candy AI gives you about two and a half times as many images per 100 tokens, better voice, video, and a realistic style eHentai doesn’t attempt; its anime mode is good but still reads as a realistic model in costume. Ourdream AI has the better memory and a genuinely usable free tier if conversation is what you’re after. For anime images alone, without the companion wrapper, Promptchan gives you far more generations per dollar, at the cost of any relationship layer and a lot of my respect on other grounds.

Rule of thumb: eHentai if you want a 2D girlfriend and will keep image count modest. Dream GF if you might want realism. Candy if images are the point. Ourdream if talking is.

Refund and cancellation reality

Cancelling is done in account settings and takes effect at the end of the paid period. That part is normal. The rest isn’t.

Refunds, per three separate documents. The Terms: “Refunds may be granted at our discretion.” The refund page: no refunds for subscription fees or transactions “unless required by applicable consumer protection laws”, with the free trial cited as the reason you should have known. The membership policy: no refund of any portion once you’ve used any AI girlfriend, generated photo, sent message or consumed credit, and no refund on 3- or 12-month plans once used. Practically, that’s a no. If you’re in the EU, the 14-day withdrawal right is your lever, and the “unless required by law” wording is the company acknowledging it. Everyone else is on goodwill or a chargeback.

The maintenance charge. Section 7 of the membership policy reserves the right to bill previously paying accounts $1.99 a month “to keep user accounts active and operational”, and says the way out is to delete the account. I have found no user reporting the fee actually landing, and the policy says “reserves the right”, not “will”. But it is on the page you agree to, and the fix is trivial: when you’re done, delete the account rather than just cancelling. Pay with a virtual card you can freeze and the whole clause becomes moot.

The 30-day lock. If you take the “+100 instant tokens” offer, you’ve agreed not to cancel for a month. Don’t take it unless you were staying anyway.

Safety, privacy and billing discretion

The privacy policy is a proper GDPR document: DreamAI SRL as controller, processing inside the EEA, hosting on DigitalOcean, data shared with infrastructure, accounting and legal providers, a rights section covering access, erasure and portability, and an acknowledgement that what you type about your sex life is special-category data you’re volunteering. Retention is “no longer than necessary” with no periods stated, which is the vague end of compliant. There is no model-training clause in either direction, so assume conversations are retained and can be read.

What’s missing: any named payment processor (the policy just says “other payment processors” and that eHentai never touches card data), any mention of two-factor authentication, and any encryption specifics beyond “secure servers”. The homepage’s “advanced encryption and robust security measures” is a marketing sentence, not a technical claim, and my earlier review shouldn’t have repeated it as one. There is no end-to-end encryption; the server has to read your chats to answer them.

Billing discretion: the pricing page promises no adult descriptors on statements. Fine as far as it goes; the descriptor is set by the processor and I can’t tell you what it reads. Access restrictions: none I could find, unlike Candy’s China and Singapore block. Age verification: a checkbox.

Common complaints and patterns

From the small pool of real feedback plus the policy pages, ranked by how much they should bother you: the renewal price doubling after the intro period; ten images a month on the subscription and unpublished per-token pricing; the $1.99 maintenance clause and the 30-day promo lock; repetitive replies and weak recall in long chats; the streak reset that wipes your free-message bonus after one missed day; anatomy errors on hands and complex poses; the “APP” branding for a website; and the name confusion with e-hentai.org. Praise clusters around the anime art direction, the builder, the archetype personalities and the no-card trial.

Final verdict

eHentai AI is a good anime companion app attached to a billing model I don’t like, run by a real company that copy-pastes its own policies between brands. The 8.5 stands because the product, judged as a product, does what it says: 2D characters that look right, chat that stays in character, pictures on request, voice if you’ll pay for it, and a free way in. It is the best anime-first pick in my set and the second-biggest property of a company that isn’t going anywhere.

Score breakdown: Image quality, strong for 2D, weak on hands. Customization, good builder, shallow beyond appearance. Chat, in-character and uncensored, poor long-term memory. Voice, present and metered, no video. Value, fair for the intro period, poor on renewal for image-heavy users. Safety and billing, legitimate company and GDPR paperwork, but read the membership policy before you pay and delete the account when you leave.

Get it if you want a 2D girlfriend and can live inside 100 tokens. Skip it if you’re an image hound or if you want to be remembered. Start free, take the $12.99 first month if the art lands, set a reminder for day 25, and pay with a card you can freeze: eHentai AI.
