Hera Haven AI

HeraHaven is the app that made me realise how little traffic tells you about quality. By search volume it is one of the five biggest AI girlfriend brands I track, in the same weight class as Candy and JOI. By product it is a $19.95-a-month chat app whose most common review, across every subreddit I read, is some version of “she replies in one sentence and forgets what I said.” Both of those things are true, and the gap between them is the whole story of this review.

My original write-up of HeraHaven was honest about what it didn’t know: the pricing tiers were guesses labelled as guesses, the refund section said “unverified”, and I said there was no voice or video. Most of that is wrong now, some of it was wrong then, and I’ve corrected all of it. For this rewrite I pulled the current Terms of Service, Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy (all of which are hidden behind a client-side age gate, so I read them out of the site’s own JavaScript), extracted the real Luna token prices and free-tier caps from the front-end config, pulled Ahrefs data on both of the domains this brand has used, and read every substantive Reddit thread I could find. The company also changed its domain twice while I wasn’t looking. That gets its own section.

TL;DR verdict

HeraHaven is a cheap, pretty, shallow AI girlfriend app run by a real Cyprus company that refunds nothing. The images are consistent, the character wizard is thoughtful, the annual plan at $79.80 is one of the cheapest ways to hold a Pro subscription anywhere in this category, and the scenario tabs mean you never start from a blank chat. Then you start chatting, and the replies are short, the memory is a summary field, and the voice sounds like text-to-speech because it is.

I score it 4.7 out of 10 and I’m comfortable with that despite the traffic numbers, for reasons I’ll show you below. If you want a cheap, phone-first picture machine tied to one custom character and you’ll pay annually, it’s defensible. If conversation is why you’re here, it isn’t. Try HeraHaven on the free tier knowing you get about 28 messages before the wall, and don’t pay monthly.

The numbers nobody else will show you

This one needs two sets of numbers, because HeraHaven has been two websites.

The domain in my frontmatter, herahaven.com, now 301-redirects to herahaven.ai. Here’s what Ahrefs shows for each as of September 15, 2026, in estimated monthly organic search visits:

Read as a brand rather than a domain, HeraHaven roughly doubled its organic search footprint in twelve months, from about 133,000 to about 268,000 estimated visits a month. That puts it in the top five of the 37 apps in my ranking, behind Ourdream, Undress, Candy and Create Porn and about level with JOI. The .com’s residual traffic is now tiny and oddly distributed (US 453, Azerbaijan 80, Trinidad 34), which is what a redirected domain’s leftovers look like.

Two things about that traffic. First, it isn’t people searching for HeraHaven. The site’s sitemap has 47 URLs and 46 of them are keyword landing pages: /nsfw-chatgpt, /ai-jerk-off, /horny-ai, /ai-nude-generator, /r34-ai-image-generator and so on. This is a programmatic SEO play that ranks for generic adult AI searches and funnels them into the app. It works. But it measures marketing competence, not user love, and it’s why I don’t let it move the score much. Second, DR 52-56 with about 1,900 referring domains each is a plausible link profile for that traffic level. Nothing here looks bought.

The company: Vilala Limited, Cyprus, company number HE 442229, at 61 Agiou Pavlou, Nicosia. The front-end config also names a US entity, Jerda Inc, EIN 32-0734828, at a St. Petersburg, Florida address that is a registered-agent office, used for the US-side billing descriptor. The herahaven.ai domain was registered in June 2024 through Namecheap with WHOIS privacy and had its record updated on May 11, 2026, three weeks before the traffic flipped back to it. Which brings us to the weird part.

The domain-hopping problem

I have never reviewed an app that changed its primary domain twice in eighteen months. Here is the timeline as Ahrefs sees it. herahaven.ai was the live site from at least January to March 2025, pulling an estimated 69,000-158,000 organic visits a month. In April 2025 that traffic went to zero and herahaven.com picked it up, carrying the brand for fourteen months and peaking at 239,000 in November 2025. Then in June 2026 the .com collapsed (62,700 in June, 5,600 in July, 1,900 in August) and the .ai came back to life at the same scale, hitting 268,000 in August 2026. Today, every path on herahaven.com, including the blog that was launched on the .com in September 2024, redirects to the .ai with a canonical tag pointing there.

Nobody at Vilala has explained this publicly that I can find. The company’s own r/HeraHaven subreddit has no migration announcement. What it does have, from July 2025, is a welcome post that still pointed people at herahaven.com/updates as the place news used to live. That is Reddit confirming the middle hop: in 2024 a r/GenZ poster named the site as “Herahaven ai”; a year later the official sub was sending people to .com; by June 2026 the traffic was back on .ai. Possible reasons for the hops include a payment-processor requirement, a trademark or registrar issue, an SEO reset after a penalty, or simply a founder who preferred the .ai and got it working again. I can’t tell you which. What I can tell you is what it means for you:

• Account continuity: it’s the same operator and the same backend (the API lives at herahaven.ai/api, the same Cyprus footer is on both), so logins should carry over. Password managers keyed to the old domain won’t autofill.
• Billing: your statement says herahelp.com, not either domain, so the migration is invisible on your card. That’s convenient and also means you should keep your own note of what the charge is.
• Trust: each hop breaks bookmarks, affiliate links and old reviews, and the strays get picked up by clone sites. herahaven-ai.net is live right now with HeraHaven branding, a legal notice listing “123 Divine Connection Blvd, Santa Monica” and a phone number starting with 555, and an FAQ that accidentally refers to “Muah AI”. It’s a lookalike. If you’re not on herahaven.ai with the Cyprus footer, leave.

I don’t think the domain changes make HeraHaven a scam. I do think a company that moves house twice without telling its customers has told you something about how it communicates, and that matters when the refund policy is “no”.

Who this is for

You’re the target if you want pictures of one specific person and you want them to keep looking like that person. The reviewer I trust most on this generated over 150 images across two weeks and put the “yes, that’s my character in a believable scene” hit rate at 70-75%, which is strong for the price. HeraHaven’s Generator and in-chat photos reference the character’s saved profile, so a face you built on Tuesday is the face you get on Friday. Multiple Reddit threads independently call the image consistency the best thing about it, and one multi-app comparison called the NSFW image quality “the best and most consistent, especially for the realistic characters.”

You’re also the target if you’re on a phone and on a budget. The site is unambiguously designed mobile-first, and $79.80 a year for unlimited text plus 500 Luna a month is cheaper than almost anything in my top ten on an annual basis. The scenario system helps too: every premade character has Romance and Erotica tabs with pre-written openers, so you’re in a scene within one click rather than staring at “Hey!”.

And it’s a reasonable pick if you want a company you can point to: the ToS names the entity, the registration number and the address, which half the apps at the bottom of my ranking can’t manage.

Who should skip this

Skip it if you’re here for conversation. This is the loudest signal in the research and it isn’t close. “Replies were often very short, which made conversations feel one-sided.” “Your AI responds like it’s being paid per word and has the memory of a goldfish.” “She’ll keep giving you one-sentence replies.” “It repeats itself even after pressing 30 times the refresh button.” Four people, four subreddits, one year. The August 2025 model update reportedly improved coherence, and the two most recent detailed reviews agree it’s better than early 2025. It still isn’t good.

Skip it if you want live voice or video. Voice is async notes, not calls, and multiple users describe the voices as “a robot reading from a script” with accents that drift mid-clip. Video is image-to-video only at 200 Luna a clip: with 500 Luna a month you get two clips and a handful of photos before you’re buying packs.

Skip it if you’ll want a refund for any reason. The Cancellation Policy, versioned August 22, 2026, is one of the most absolute I’ve read: subscriptions, recurring payments, Luna packs and crypto are all final. And Reddit confirms it: at least two users describe emailing support about incoherent replies, getting no fix, and being refused a refund.

And skip it if you need to test before you pay. Twenty-eight messages is not a trial, it’s a demo.

What Reddit actually says

I went through 12 Reddit threads and 157 comments that actually named HeraHaven, from August 2024 through August 2026, plus the older review posts already cited below. The pile looks fat until you throw out the listicles. Most “matched” posts are “which AI girlfriend is best” roundups that drop HeraHaven in a list next to Replika, Candy and MoeMate, then collect hundreds of comments about something else. After that filter, I had about eight comments from people who had clearly used the product, and two more on the company’s own sub that read like paying customers having a bad time. For a brand pulling an estimated 268,000 organic visits a month, that is a tiny genuine footprint. People arrive from Google, not from Reddit recommending it.

The genuine praise is narrow and consistent. On r/Crush in October 2025, one comparison comment put it as “HeraHaven – best one for roleplay and realism though it’s a bit pricey for what it offers.” Same thread, August 2025: “For me, Replika was nice for casual chats when I was bored, HeraHaven for spicy RP.” On r/story in July 2025, someone who had actually tried the named list wrote “Herahaven seemed very realistic. I hope they had a longer free trial,” and another said the first name on that list (HeraHaven) “has an impressive image generator” while “Their chatbot seems mostly tailored towards speaking with characters, so not that suitable for building a story.” That last line matches what I see: pictures and a scenario opener, not a novelist.

The genuine complaints match the older review threads I already trusted. Short replies and goldfish memory still dominate the write-ups on r/AiGirlfriendSpace, r/BestVirtualGirlfriend and r/AIGirlfriendScout. On the company’s own r/HeraHaven, in a July 2025 “which app is best” post, a user wrote that it “repeats itself even after pressing 30 times the refresh button” and “keep forgetting things after 2 minutes,” then “I asked for a refund and of course… no.” A second comment in that same thread said support offered “not one apology” and still refused the money. I have not found a Reddit report of a voluntary refund.

Price versus depth is the other paid-user note. “it’s a bit pricey for what it offers” is the polite version. The older “$20 a month, there are better alternatives” line still holds if you are on monthly.

Two Reddit artefacts are more interesting than the product talk, because they tell you how this brand shows up in the wild.

First, domain confusion is real. The August 2024 r/GenZ post that asked whether it was normal for a brother to be “completely engrossed” named “this website called Herahaven ai.” The July 2025 official welcome post on r/HeraHaven pointed at herahaven.com/updates as the page being retired. Same company, two URLs, twelve months apart, no explanation in the thread. If you are bookmarking from a Reddit comment, check the address bar.

Second, a lot of HeraHaven-shaped posts are ads. On 27 August 2024 the same “My AI girlfriend brought back the happiness I thought I’d lost” testimonial, word for word, went up on r/lonely and r/TrueOffMyChest, both naming “Herahaven Ai.” That is not two lonely 22-year-olds having the same night. A January 2025 r/Chatbots “My experience with HeraHaven AI” is four cheerful sentences that pivot to SparkZoolio. The 2026 comment replies under older HeraHaven-named threads are a MuahAI / DarLink / Lurvessa farm: same pitch, new account, one comment. Discount anything that pivots to “honestly I switched to X.” The official r/HeraHaven itself is a shop window. The welcome post, the Adelaide Advertiser brag and the Coingate announcement are company posts. User comments there are scarce, and the ones that exist are the refund and repetition complaints above.

Sentiment among the people who had clearly paid or used it: mixed, leaning negative on chat, positive on pictures and spicy RP, unanimous that the free trial is too short to judge. Isolated extras from the older reviews still stand: pictures vanish if you don’t bookmark them, random word filtering on a product sold as uncensored, and premade personalities that do not always agree with the Erotica tab.

The real monthly cost, worked out

Everything below is from the site’s own front-end configuration as loaded on September 15, 2026, cross-checked against three third-party reviews that saw the same numbers at checkout.

Three profiles:

• Text and the odd photo: 500 Luna covers about 70 pictures a month. You’ll never buy a pack. Annual plan, $6.65 a month. This is HeraHaven’s genuine sweet spot and it is cheap.
• A photo every session plus two or three custom characters: still mostly inside 500 Luna, maybe one $10.95 pack every couple of months. Call it $10-12 a month on annual.
• Video-curious: two clips is 400 Luna. Two clips and thirty photos is 610. You’re buying an $10.95 pack every month at minimum, more likely the $29.95 one. On annual that’s $17-37 a month; on monthly it’s $31-50, which is Candy money for a much shallower product.

Two things the checkout doesn’t tell you. The code contains two win-back tiers, 25% off ($14.95 a month) and 50% off ($9.95), that trigger for lapsed subscribers, so if you cancel, expect an email. And the same pricing structure appears under a second brand name, “LunaLust Pro”. LunaLust was a separate AI girlfriend app in 2024; I can’t prove the connection beyond the shared code, so I’ll leave it there.

First-session walkthrough

Today’s herahaven.ai loads with a dark modal titled User Verification: “By entering, you confirm you agree to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and are at least 18 years old.” One button, Enter, and it sets a browser flag. The page title is “HeraHaven | AI Girlfriend App | Chat, Pictures & Videos”, and the sidebar reads Explore, Generator, Chat, Saved, Videos, Settings, with Affiliate tucked under. Top of the Explore grid you pick Girlfriend, Anime or Boyfriend; the boyfriend and anime rosters are real, not a token nod.

The character grid is the same one my old review described: Catalina, Rina, Natasha, Grace, Mariana and about forty others, each card with an age and a one-line hook (“Care to join me for a shower?”, “I’ll teach lessons you won’t forget”). Click one and you get a profile with Romance and Erotica tabs and a list of scenarios under each. Erotica is Pro-only but you can read the titles, which is honest gating. The homepage FAQ still says “All conversations are confidential, and we use the latest encryption tech to protect your data,” which I’ll come back to.

Signup is email, Google or X. On a phone the site behaves like a PWA (there’s a web manifest), but there’s no install prompt I saw in the HTML and no store listing. If you are in one of the 20 US states or 4 countries on the site’s age-law list, NSFW generation will at some point bounce you to a third-party ID verification session; everyone else just clicks Enter.

Chat experience and memory

The August 2025 model update, which the company calls V2, is the dividing line in every review I read. Pre-V2 reviews (March 2025) describe photos where “your AI girlfriend looks like a different person in each photo” and chats that were fine but flat. Post-V2 reviews credit noticeably better in-character consistency and image continuity. So if you’re reading a HeraHaven review dated before autumn 2025, including my old one, it’s describing a different product.

It’s still a short-reply product. The model favours one or two sentences, which some people read as realistic texting and most people read as thin. Personality presets do produce different tones. Scenarios do hold their frame for a while. But the memory system is an auto-generated summary per character that reads “No memory has been created yet. Keep chatting!” on a fresh chat and fills in as you go. You can edit it by hand, which is a useful escape hatch when it summarises wrong. It is not long-term recall, and every reviewer who pushed a conversation past an evening reports the character losing details from earlier in the same session.

One more thing from the privacy notice: “for purposes of quality control and amelioration/patching our model, a periodical sample check will be carried out on the conversations… your communication with the chatbot may become visible by our employees, who are bound by confidentiality agreements.” Type accordingly.

Image generation

This is what HeraHaven actually sells and it’s the part that works. In-chat pictures arrive in about 15-20 seconds on Pro and reference the character’s saved appearance, so continuity is good. The standalone Generator lets you pick a character (yours or premade), stack tags for action, view, outfit and setting, and generate one image free-tier or four at a time on Pro. Uncensored output needs Pro plus Luna; free output is tasteful only and blurs after your first image.

Weak spots: hands and eyes still glitch, third-party hit rates land around 70-75%, and every miss costs 7 Luna with no re-roll credit. Pictures also aren’t automatically kept; hit the bookmark or lose them. Compared to Candy, the images are a step behind in raw quality and a step ahead in price per picture (7 Luna at roughly $0.03-0.05 each, against Candy’s ~4 tokens at about $0.10 each).

Voice and video

Voice is asynchronous notes both ways, 1 Luna each on Pro, with 11 preset voices (eight American, one British, one Australian, plus anime) that you can preview in the character wizard. Quality is the weakest thing on the platform: “same flat tone whether happy, sad or flirty”, “a robot from the 90s”. There are no live calls. Free-tier users can play text-to-speech on AI messages, which is a nice touch and not the same thing.

Video exists now, which is the biggest factual change since my last review. Pro users can turn any generated picture into a short clip for 200 Luna; the app tells you it takes about four minutes and lands on the Videos page, and refunds the 200 Luna if the render fails. It’s image animation, not scene generation, and NSFW video can trigger the ID-verification step in regulated regions. Two clips eat 80% of your monthly Luna.

Customization depth

The character wizard is the second thing HeraHaven does well. It’s an 11-step flow: gender and style, then ethnicity, age, eyes, hair, body, and so on through personality tags, relationship, and finally voice with a three-second audio preview for each option. That preview is a small detail most competitors don’t bother with. Saving costs 15 Luna on Pro; free accounts get two characters. Third-party reviewers put the Pro cap at 25 custom characters. My old review said “unlimited”, which was never verified and is wrong.

Personality is presets plus a free-text field. It shifts tone observably but, per several users, doesn’t survive long conversations without reinforcement. There’s no community library, no character sharing, no importing.

NSFW behavior and limits

HeraHaven is marketed as uncensored and mostly behaves that way once you’re on Pro and inside an Erotica scenario. The premade characters have different comfort levels, which is a feature if you like the slow burn and a bug if you paid $19.95 to be told no. Two reviewers report random word filtering on ordinary vocabulary. Custom characters are more compliant than premades.

The ToS is unambiguous about the hard lines: no content involving minors, no real people, no depictions of non-consent framed as real, and a 2257 exemption statement declaring everything AI-generated with no human performers. The privacy notice separately says the company will delete any data it discovers belongs to a minor. If you’re in one of the 24 listed jurisdictions with age-verification laws, uncensored generation may require ID. Check what you’re allowed to unlock in your region before you buy Luna, because Luna is non-refundable.

Mobile experience

Designed for it. The layout, the bottom-anchored input, the card grid, the scenario openers: everything assumes a thumb. Multiple Reddit reviewers say the desktop site “feels like you’re using a phone app on your computer”. There’s a web manifest for home-screen installs, no store app, no push notifications I could confirm, and video renders happen server-side so you can leave and come back.

Pricing analysis

$19.95 a month is high for what the chat delivers and roughly market rate for a Pro tier with 500 tokens bundled. $79.80 a year is where HeraHaven becomes rational: it’s cheaper than Candy’s cheapest promo and DreamGF’s annual, with a more generous token bundle than either. The “70% off” framing is against a $239.40 list price that exists only to make the discount look large.

The Luna layer is the second bill. Voice at 1 and pictures at 7 are honestly priced. Characters at 15 are fine. Video at 200 is where the meter starts running; it’s HeraHaven’s Candy-Shorts equivalent, the feature designed to make you buy packs. Free users can’t buy Luna at all, which is unusual and means the free tier is a demo, not a low-spend option.

My rule: annual or nothing, pay with a card you can freeze, and decide first whether you’re a video person. If you are, HeraHaven’s effective price lands at $17-37 a month and you should compare it against apps that do video properly.

Value vs alternatives

Against my top three, HeraHaven loses on everything except annual price and scenario onboarding. Candy has better images, real video and voice calls; read my Candy AI review for why it’s still the benchmark and why its tokens are worse than Luna. Ourdream, which now has the most organic traffic in the whole set, bundles far more into the base price and holds long conversations better; my Ourdream AI review covers the coin system there. Kupid beats HeraHaven decisively on voice.

Against its price peers, it’s more interesting. Dream GF has a deeper body-and-kink builder and a slightly cheaper annual, with weaker memory. Nectar AI is the other subscription-plus-wallet app in my ranking and has a much richer character builder but is shrinking fast. If you want the cheapest consistent-face picture app and you’ll pay yearly, HeraHaven is the pick of that group. If you want any of chat depth, live voice, real video, or a refund policy with a pulse, look up my ranking.

Refund and cancellation reality

Cancellation: account settings, subscription, cancel. Access runs to the end of the paid period, then you drop to free and your Luna sits there unusable until you resubscribe. If the button fails, the Cancellation Policy says email support@herahaven.ai with your account details. Expect a discount offer on the way out; the 25% and 50% win-back prices are literally in the code.

Refunds: the policy, versioned August 22, 2026, says it four separate times. All charges final. Subscription fees final. Recurring payments final. Luna packs final. Crypto final. “Except where a refund is required by applicable law”, which for EU and UK customers means your 14-day withdrawal right and consumer-protection rules still apply whatever the page says, and for everyone else means a chargeback. Real users have tested this: two reports of refused refunds after unresolved repetition bugs, zero reports of a voluntary refund.

Practical rules: pay with a virtual card, screenshot the checkout page (it shows the Cyprus entity and the herahelp.com descriptor, useful for a dispute), and never buy a Luna pack larger than you’ll use in a month.

Safety, privacy and billing discretion

The good: a named GDPR controller (Vilala Limited, Cyprus) with EU law explicitly cited, a 2257 exemption statement, a model-training opt-out you can exercise by email, an arbitration opt-out within 30 days, and a billing descriptor (herahelp.com) that gives nothing away. Coingate crypto checkout exists if you want no card trail at all.

The bad: the privacy policy is dated September 10, 2024 and hasn’t been updated through two domain moves and a video launch. It says your account data and chat content (images, video, audio, anything you share) is retained for five years after you erase your account, which is a long time for this kind of data. It says employees periodically sample conversations. It says “in principle” no transfers outside the EEA, while the site is hosted on a US cloud provider and runs Microsoft Clarity, Mixpanel and Sentry. And the homepage’s “latest encryption tech” line is marketing: chats are stored server-side in readable form, which is how the memory summary and the human sampling work. My old review repeated the encryption claim uncritically, and I’ve corrected that.

The ugly: the mandatory arbitration clause with class-action and jury waivers, governed by the US Federal Arbitration Act, in a contract whose governing law is Cyprus. That’s a lot of legal architecture for a $6.65-a-month girlfriend app, and it exists to make it hard to sue them together. Opt out by email in your first 30 days; it costs nothing.

Common complaints and patterns

Ranked by frequency in what I read: short and repetitive replies; memory loss within a session; price versus chat depth at $19.95; robotic voice; images that vanish if not bookmarked; random word filtering; refused refunds; and confusion about which domain is real, which Reddit still has in 2024 posts saying .ai and a 2025 official post pointing at .com. Praise clusters around image consistency, the character wizard, scenario openers, the discreet descriptor, and the cheap annual plan. The pattern: a company excellent at acquisition (SEO, cheap annual, crypto, clean billing) and mediocre at the product people stay for.

Final verdict

HeraHaven earns its traffic with search engine work, not with conversations, and my score reflects the product rather than the marketing. It’s a competent picture app with a thin chat model, an absolute no-refund policy, a five-year data retention clause, and a habit of moving domains without telling anyone. The annual plan is genuinely cheap and the images genuinely hold a face. That’s the case for it, and it’s a narrow one.

Score breakdown: Image consistency, good for the price. Chat and memory, weak, the defining complaint. Voice and video, present but token-gated and low quality. Customization, above average wizard, capped characters. Value, excellent on annual for text-plus-photos, poor on monthly, poor for video. Trust and billing, real company and clean descriptor, undermined by no refunds, employee chat sampling, and two unexplained domain migrations.

If you want a cheap, consistent-face picture companion on your phone and you’ll pay $79.80 once a year with a card you can freeze, HeraHaven is fine. If you want anything else, my ranking has 30 better-scored options.
